CATI survey and analysis of the HVAC market in Poland

Since 2000, PMR has been regularly studying the situation in the Polish construction market and its individual segments. One of the market subsegments we examine is the HVAC sector (heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems). We produced a comprehensive report analysing the situation in the HVAC market, including data on the market value and a 5-year development forecast.

Sources for the report

The report was prepared with the use of data from the following sources:

  • CATI survey conducted on a random, representative sample of 551 installation companies in the HVAC industry,
  • 29 in-depth interviews (IDI) with market players,
  • a detailed analysis of secondary sources, including data from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), registration and official data, and data from industry associations, banks, regulatory institutions, industry organisations and state institutions, as well as data from projects previously carried out by PMR for the industry,
  • econometric modelling carried out by the PMR Forecasting and Econometrics Department,
  • forecasts prepared by the PMR Forecasting and Econometrics Department.

Result of the project

Using data from the various sources, we made a number of independent calculations of key market indicators, including:

  • market size,
  • values of its individual segments,
  • shares of major players,
  • market growth rate,
  • and other.

These calculations were then collated and cross-checked using econometric modelling and expert knowledge. This resulted in an objective and systemic error-free overview of the situation in the market covered by the analysis.
